Victor did you buy the mefu one? Which model and what was the experience like getting it to your shop, any hangups with shipping? I looked at the colex version at ISA last year, looked like a decent unit.
I have had good experience with briteline on both eco solvent and UV, but I don't run any latex machines, the heat is going to be the issue and may cause buckling. I believe they updated their material lately with a different liner, so my experience may be obsolete anyways... Grab sample roll...
Agreed, if needed you can also run painters tape from the face of each letter up to the wall as temporary support while the silicone sets up but usually not needed as long as your holes arent sloppy.
From what I have been looking at the last couple years, a decent xy cutter is more expensive than an entry level flatbed like a summa. Either way you are looking north of 50-60k. If you are feeling adventurous you could probably direct import an xy cutter but good luck if you run into any issues...
I have made a few this year, You can send me what you are looking for and I can see if it's something I can do. I have some aluminum in stock but have just been using off-the-shelf extrusions so far.
