  1. BUMPER STICKER MATERIAL

I have had stickers on telephone poles here in Maine stuck on there for 3 years without any problems using Substance 2755/3150. Substance is my go to and it's a great company. They are making matte again in 3755/3750 again after I had talked to them about it and made me 10 rolls to use while...
  2. adhesive paper not vinyl

IMO, go with vinyl unless they specifically asked for paper. I've used the Roland paper and it's ok but there aren't many adhesive backed paper options out there and most are for poster type graphics and pretty thick.
  3. Connecting Graphtect cutter

Should be able to. Have you set a static IP address on the machine?
  4. using ChatGPT for sign design and logos

I don't mind using it as a tool, but certainly not for logos, maybe a logo idea to start from. I use if on occasion for background images for label artwork, but it's never going to replace the feeling of a piece of artwork done by a human.
  5. UCJV330 + RL7 - Space between jobs

This is why I've just stuck to sheets. Print one and roll the leading edge back to the platen and start the next print.
  6. Print Issues Epson S80600 Furry Edges

What resolution are you printing at? Bi-direction or Uni? You can always try to a manual head alignment to see how those look.
  7. UCJV330 Gloss Curing

Right now I use Substance 3755 Matte AR. I think I'll get a roll of non-ar to try. Also what was weird is that a Mimaki rep told me when buying this never to use more than 50% clear ink. Then a few weeks ago I was told to try it at 90-100%. lol Those photos I posted were done with a pass of 100%...
  8. UCJV330 Gloss Curing

I'll have to really experiment with settings or switch to a non-air release to help prevent it. My machine is still under warranty and don't want to void that so switching inks isn't in my book just yet. It would be fine it it did it evenly to everything, but when only certain areas do it it...
  9. UCJV330 Gloss Curing

I'm curious if anyone else has encountered this issue with UV prints and clear gloss/matte ink. It doesn't happen consistently on every single piece but happens to at least some pieces on every clear job I run. The initial prints come out looking fine but within a couple of days I notice this...
  10. CG-AR - Die cutting

If you plan of using a different RIP like Onyx, Flexi, etc... you can look into other cutter brands, but if you plan on staying with Rasterlink, it may be worth it to stay in the Mimaki sphere. I run Onyx for my Epson and Graphtech cutter, but Onyx doesn't really support the UCJV330 fully yet...
  11. UCJV330 - White ink waste

Just had a thought yesterday when I was doing some maintenance. Have you checked the cleaning cycles settings on your machine? Could just be that it's cleaning and wasting the white possibly....?
  12. Light banding on solids - UCJV330

Thanks I've gotten it figured out. My tech said solids can be tricky. I got it worked out though, I printed colors patterns up both sides of the sheet and had to increase the vacuum to max and haven't had any of the banding since. *crosses fingers*
  13. UCJV330 - White ink waste

Use can either use maintenance fluid or a little bit of ink to lube the o-rings on the caps. I've found a little ink works best since the maintenance fluid dries up.
  14. Light banding on solids - UCJV330

From what my tech said is that solids are challenging at this rate it's going to take 21hrs of printing for this job.
  15. Light banding on solids - UCJV330

I'm getting some light banding in this background I'm printing. I saw it on another print that had an orange solid area. Seems to be with certain colors cause I didn't see it in some lighter blue prints I did a coupe weeks ago. I've checked my feed comp and adjusted it and my drop position...
