I think I may do a mix of both really. They want letter but they also want a graphic. I plan on going to see the trailer so I can get better pics and measurements on the trailer.
I've got a soft sided squeegee I can use. I'd like to pre-mask it but I'd have to buy some wide masking tape. Only...
Trying CM4 is next.
I did notice that in CM5 the registration marks the Y offset was at 0.016". Not sure if that is causing this, but I'll have to see if I can test out a print and cut.
I mainly do die cut stickers and labels. Some larger stickers but I've never done anything this large for a trailer before.
It's a bit out of my comfort zone, but I'd really like to get experience doing more car graphic work.
What things should I watch out for when doing trailers like this? I...
Yeah it's not the tool position, I did that once and sore to always check my conditions before I send. I never have issues when I cut Onyx barcodes on rolls like this. Although I know it's a different set of marks and has a barcode. I'll have to dig through some settings but I rarely change...
No I had changed the tool before I turned it on.
I'm wondering if it has anything to do with choosing sheet vs roll. I can't recall having this problem when it was loaded as a sheet on the Graphtech. These are on a roll though so I can't really choose sheet setting.
So I had printed some sheets with Graphtec cut marks off my UV machine. Loaded them into the graphtech and sent the cuts from CM5. Scanned marks no problem but when it makes the first cut it's always 0.625" off. If I cancel the job and start it over it cuts in the correct place. I cannot seem to...
Definitely something weird going on. Got all these 3 yesterday. Some of my media profiles showed up again o the machine. I'm not liking all these random message, makes me feel like they are going to be throwing lot of parts at this.
How do I get into the service mode? Do you have a service...
Unforteulatly I've developed more problems. Came in the morning and all my media names were reset. Went to do a test print and it immeedialy shut down. Turned it back on and tried another test print and gave me an error. "Error 707 Head Heater Break 1_"
Ugh looks like I've got gremlins in the...
Been having this intermittent issue every couple of months. I'll start a print and within an inch of so into the print the black from head 1 drops out completely.
I've tried a normal cleaning, hard cleaning and 2 x nozzle wash and it still won't print anything.
Any suggestions?
What are you trying to print? I'm assuming you've done the drop position correction for the media and DPI your printing at.
I actually get decent prints from 600x1200. I do a lot of smaller type (5-6pt) though so I generally stick to 1200x1200.
I'm on a trial of it and editing seems to be the same but with access to more resources, fonts, graphics, etc.
Not sure if the free one has the same export options.
I feel dumb for forgetting that I can do that in acrobat. I don't use acrobat print production very often and I was so used to using ESKO plug-ins when I worked in offset.
Thanks for refreshing my memory on that.
Yeah I've never used it at all until this came though so I'm going to have to poke around it a bit.
The hollow is for a text with no fill and just an outline. Not outlined text as I'm thinking of it.
