Today the technician stopped by to fix something and showed him the print results from RMO. The higher the print quality the worse the output. The banding in the black printout is "quality" mode and the blue is "HD". He said he doesnt think he could fix this as it shouldn't be a hardware issue...

Thanks, going to report it. We are new to Arizona but our technicians favourite comment has been "this printer is for printing billboards, this should be okay for looking at it from distance" so far.. :\

Hi, When printing to roll, mostly blue colors have banding and seems to be only on the right side of the roll. Both of the blue heads are new, a month old. Flatbed has no banding issue. Any ideas what could be causing the banding? Thanks in advance.

I'm thinking of going for the maintenance contract that canon provides but it is quite pricey (it is around 10k/yr but includes printheads too).. If they have to change 1-2 printheads /year then its worth the price but if they only gonna perform the quarterly maintenance cleaning and nothing...

I don't think that it is used daily. It least not for some time. Canon is to move the printer to us, install it and put it into working condition.
