We did a bunch of tables. Eco-Sol printed and laminated. We let them outgas 3 days before lamination, applied to tables and then the epoxy guy poured them after 24 hours. No problems at all. Just be sure to thoroughly clean and degrease restaurant tables!
Don't warranty anything you don't install. You have no idea how well they cleaned that glass before install, how well they squeegeed, etc.. Also, they should not use the rear wiper on thin detail like that.
Just my 2 cents, but I would use wrap vinyl and laminate. I have found that regular vinyl on vehicles, even on flat surfaces will fail within about a year, although I am in South Florida.
I don't see the worry either...but with that being said, this will be that one job that something like that happens just because they brought it up.
Can you fill that area with HDU scraps, or enclose it with thin aluminum bent over the top protruding section?
