  1. Arlon DPF 4200 Problems

We don't use that particular media but we've had issues with our 3M 180 & 480 failing lately due to incorrect installation - seems to be from not heating it down and/or stretching it too much. We don't have an in-house installer, instead we use a few different independent ones and have figured...
  2. Fb500 carriage issues

Is it getting stuck in the same place every time? Or does it vary? Our rail got scratched up at the service end by a tech who couldn't get the carriage on straight after he replaced a head, so there's a bit of a grindy feeling when moving the carriage past that spot. Otherwise I'm not sure, it...
  3. We’ve come full circle

It's an interesting study in psychology - I bet they would have gotten far fewer views had their signs been professionally printed. It's like viral underground marketing 3.0

Hey, so I got the covid and haven't been at work for over a week now! I will call you when I finally test negative and can go back in.
  5. We’ve come full circle

  7. 3M Lamination releasing from Latex Printed vinyl. Please Help

I remembered we had a delamination once on 180 with 8519 and we believe it was due to our laminator which was dying, you had to crank the tension so hard that we think the lam stretched at a different rate than the vinyl and then when it shrunk again it started pulling away.
  8. 3M Lamination releasing from Latex Printed vinyl. Please Help

Does whoever you buy your media from have a 3M rep you can talk to? I go directly to ours whenever I have an issue or question.
  9. Cyan issue with my HP FB500

Yeah they’re old and hard to get service for. We’re stubborn so we are probably going to keep it until it dies catastrophically!
  10. Cyan issue with my HP FB500

We never went to aftermarket ink, but we still have that machine so it’s good to know it worked for you. We had so many bad boxes of ink it was ridiculous, and it went on for I think a little over a year. So when the cyan heads started going bad at first I thought it was more bad ink. That was...
  11. Cyan issue with my HP FB500

It’s in the ink menu under Maintenance. It’s an automated procedure where it empties the heads, the only thing you have to do is drain the waste ink before & after. I was told to do an empty & fill cycle three times after a bad batch of ink and that seemed to get it all out of the lines. I did...
  12. Cyan issue with my HP FB500

    Under Printing->Calibrations->Auto Calibrations
  13. Cyan issue with my HP FB500

Can you map out the bad jets? We had both cyan heads go down a little while back probably because of bad ink but HP made it hard to prove… anyway if you have too many bad jets and need a new head good luck. Montroy still has a few techs that work on them if you end up needing service.
  14. We’ve come full circle

No, if it were my band and my sign I'd probably actually print it and have like a QR code or something ;)
  15. We’ve come full circle

So much for your fancy shmancy SEO, Google Adwords and Facebook marketing! If you really want to broaden your reach you need a handwritten sign with the name of your YouTube channel on the lawn outside the Taco Bell drive thru
