  • Lastly, this might just depend on your plotter, anywhoo, I line up the pen tip with the registration mark, I don't know how to describe it, the pin tip is to be inside the registration mark, once I have done that I click Orgin go to computer then go to Cut window, double click on artwork and do 1 copy then click Process Cut Jobs. Make sure the pinch rollers are not on the registration mark (well in the case of my fantastic plotter I have to make sure of this). I hope this helps and if I have confused you please don't hesitate to ask for clarification. Good Luck and just so you know I do have the step by step directions from Wasatch :)
Funny you should ask. Today I am having the most difficult time with wasatch. Usually it goes as follows; open file, group artwork, duplicate artwork and move above so you have 2, create outlines, expand appearance, then expand, go to pathfinder under shapes mode, Alt and click on Add to Shape button, go to the fill boxes and flip them, bringing the stroke to the front, make the stroke .25pt, with that go to New Swatch and type in CutPath (exactly as shown, capitilized) in Swatch Name, then change process color to spot color then click ok, align both objects, save as EPS. Then go into wasatch make sure you have the Process Cutting Paths and Cutting Registration Marks in Set Up Print marked with a 2" margin on each side. Then make sure you have selected the plotter in your Queues as well as the printer (of course). Now it is pretty much the same after that, go to jobs bring in your artwork, you need to make sure the marching "ants" are marching, if indeed they are then rip and print
How's your day going ? I know you asked or answered this question before on this site, and am wondering if you could help me? What is the best way to create a cutpath in illustrator and send to wasatch to output to a mutoh ?
    Thanks
    bryan
