I'm on dial-up so I may wait to download any large files sent. I can do about 10 MB per hour.

Dont recall if I mentioned...
Files are sent to the RIP ( in my case Colorip 2.2) as .tiff images that have been exported as RGB files. I also print most everything at 720 x 720. The 320 setting only seems to work for small simple text signs. Bumping up to 1400 x 720 doesnt really make much difference.
The vinyl, paper etc media you use is significant.
I use almost exclusively Oracal 3651 for printing. It's a calendared film that has a 5 yr expectancy...since the ink will only last 3 yrs..I go with that. I get great results.
I did find a photo paper that worked well..I'd have ro look that up..I don't print to paper all that much.
The sp300 is an amazing machine..give it a chance.
