  2. New Printer

We have the 60" L25500, Graphtec FC8000-160 64" cutter, and Royal Sovereign 1650LS 65" laminator. We haven't found much not to like. We love the HP. No odor, beautiful colors, nice machine. Since it has its own take up system, it really doesn't require as much space as you might think.
  3. L25500 and graphtec FC8000 - cutting too "short"

We have experienced the same thing. If you are using registration lines other than just at the corners it seems to get confused. Also if you have any other lines (for example our signmaker had made a slit with an xacto) this will also throw it off. The laser is extremely sensitive.

  8. color question?

We have the L25500. Our signmaker comes from a shop that had the jv3. He has commented several times that he could never produce reds with the same intensity on the Mimaki that we get on the L25500. I don't have any personal experience, but he is definitely impressed. We use Onyx and Flexi...
  9. Horizontal slatwall graphics install

Ok, I have a customer that we are doing vinyl on slat wall. There is an area of 12' wide by 8.5' tall that we are covering. We tiled horizontally with a 6.5" overlap so that when we cut out for the slats there will be no seams on the install. Question is, how is the best way to handle a 12'...
  10. Question about cutting substrate

Akukut. It will slit the backer precisely. Costs about a hundred bucks, but works well. http://www.densitometers.net/content/akukut.asp
