  2. edge 2

I'm not familiar with Roland cutters but I print on my Edge 2 using Cadlink Signlab and cut it on a Graphite FC7000. So yes you can print and cut without just using Gerber hardware. I orchard an Edge 2, Envision 375 & Omega years ago right when Omega was released and I paid $26,000 for it...

  5. Help selecting a new Mimaki printer

Straight line - running the DOUBLE CMYK on the 300 is about 6 times faster than the 33 not 2X. The 300 should print CMYK X2 at about 109 sq.m/hr. And the JV33 does about 18. So the 300 should print CMYK Or. LK, LM, LC at about 54.5 sq.m/hr. Quark - which ink set do you get? If you are using...
  6. Hi from the UK! Gerber Edge help needed!

The best way to check for bad pixels is to print a 70% solid box of Colbalt blue, I know at least up to a few years ago that was how Gerber checked the print head. If it.s bad you’ll see what resembles rail road tracks.
  7. Help selecting a new Mimaki printer

The latex kind of scares me for durability. I have heard the HP will only give you a few years 3-4 with lam. So I wasn't sure of the Mimaki latex inks. I'm really impressed with the JV300. Now if I can sell my JV33. I'm still interested in any SS21 orange durability and how much faster you...
  8. Advice needed for second surface custom cut graphics backed with etchmark

We do everything dry, so I'd do it dry. Using the laminator is a good idea as is contour cutting the image out of the etch with the etch slightly smaller then the image and appling the etch over the image.

  11. FC7000 plotter acting up...HELP!

The only thing I can think of is it looks like the blade or blade holder is loose, it appears to be good when just running the length of the roll of vinyl but changes when running the width of the cutter or combination of. We often print and cut white, yellow, orange, gold and even blue...

  14. I need to pick one! Please help!

Go with the Mimaki, you can run 24, 30 or 36" media through it you don't have to use the full width. plus with the Mimaki you can run ss21 inks and the output will last a lot longer then the Eco inks will. I just went through what you are doing I was between the HP 25500 (Latex), Epson GS6000...
