OK...how about GMI paper, has anybody used that before? It was recommended by a local supplier but I believe it's only a 7 mil paper. Opinions....anybody
  3. Mimaki CG130FX error

Well, I'm sure you know this but the manual says: ERR51 PINCH POS* Pinch rollers are not properly set on the grit roller. Set the pinch rollers on the grit roller. If you have already insured that they are in fact positioned on the grit rollers then I would suspect there is a problem in...
  4. What photo paper do you use?

I just received a catalog from LexJet, whose materials I'm not too familiar with and aren't carried by my regular suppliers, but they seem to have a nice paper called Prime Gloss SUV, which is 10 mil at the average cost of .26 per sq. ft. I know I've heard someone mention this paper previously...
  5. What photo paper do you use?

I have also been using Sihl Trisolv 3686, which is a 9 mil 200 gloss paper, at an average cost of .17 per sq. ft., but I've been very dissatisfied with the product lately and have had customers refuse delivery on some orders. The problem seems to be in the irregular coating of the paper. It...
  6. Double Sided Route Tape Source

Dan....you won't include the source? That was the whole question..... Good thought Doug, as "carpet tape" is basically the same product though you're probably never sure exactly what you're getting. Thank you Brian, another good referral as TechnoCharlie was instrumental in my using the...
  7. Double Sided Route Tape Source

Does anybody have a source for a good quality economical double sided tape for router use? I had been using some Intertape 592 in 2" version but I can't seem to find any anywhere now, except one place that is super expensive. I'd probably be looking to step down to a 1" tape if anybody knows a...
  8. Need masking advise

The tools you are using, the materials you are using, the suppliers you are using are all arts and crafts hobby grade. I doubt anything could be recommended to you here. You should search out information from areas that deal with similar equipment and procedures. See if you can find a forum for...

  11. Website Optimization

I desperately need a number of new websites and I don't have a clue. I need a standard website and an e-commerce website at least. I would be happy to drop it someone's capable hands at a fair price but from everything I hear from everybody, there seems to be so many variables and different ways...
  12. First CNC table router purchase advice needed!

Larry...I'd be curious to know if you could briefly outline some of the pros and cons of the Shopbot vs the Multicam since you now have good experience with them both. Thanks!

  14. A Day In a Life At Gerber....

If I may, let me tell you about a day in my life at Gerber... Today I spent the morning wrapping up a bid for a contract that I spent the last two days preparing and drove an hour away for a 2 hour delivery process. After that torturous affair, I realized that I was only about 10 miles from the...
  15. cutting Lexan on my CNC (4:30 in Hawaii... & I'm praying for a quick response...)

Doug..I've never tried Lexan in the router but I'd agree with Fred's advice. My router's maximum is 54 IPS and from my instinct I'd definately not start out higher than 100. I do have some lexan on hand if you wanted me to try something but I guess you could trial and error just as well!
  16. Let's play...."What's my computer problem?"

I guess there is the proof that automatically restoring or reformatting your hard drive or reinstalling your operating system before thinking is a bad...bad...idea.

  20. Let me tell you about Chuck

I don't own a Multicam but I know many Multicam owners who are very happy with their machines and I believe them to be high quality machines and a good company. Before mob rule attacks Multicam, I think we should remember that we are hearing 1 side of 1 person's story, who we don't even know. If...
