I have never noticed this before- when I make a gradient from say PMS485
red to black- that the 485 end is not actually 485- it is washed out. It looks
the same on the monitor (unless I use softproof) but it prints lighter. What
am I missing here? Thanks Gene
Most often I am trying to round the corners on a complex contour cut- so
that it will cut more easily and look better. The problem is that it will round
corners only to the first node on any point. If the nodes on the pict are
visible... the round corner tool will only round .01 in this case-...
I have been thinking about this for a couple years- I think it could be done
with a BBQ rotisary motor and a motion detector from an outdoor light or
an electric eye. Maybe get to it this winter- slower than hell now. Gene
I have struggled with this for years- I realize that it works only to the point
of there not being a node too close to any corner. Are there any other
tips for using this tool that I am missing. Thanks Gene
Try these in order of ease of operation and cost.
1. Clean your encoder strip
2. clean the module that reads the strip
3. replace or flip the encoder strip over
4. replace the encoder module
Search for encoder strip on printingdigial.net for much info on this.
Thanks for a great tip Bob- I have fought that problem a couple of times. If
I might ask... from where did you glean that info? I have been looking for this
kind of tips on hot keys (other than the ones in the book) with little luck.
Thanks Gene
We are talking about incredibly complex programs here- should they be
perfect... in a perfect world they should- as Bob says 'we live on Urth'.
FlexiPro 5.7 thru (so far) 7.6 has helped us make several millions of dollars
worth of signs over 12 years and I love it.:toasting:
I am onboard with triangleinx for all the reasons listed so far. I installed triangle when my sp300v was new 30months ago ( Chris- I think you had
triangle before me) NO issues whatever. I can take a print hot out of the
printer and puddle alc on it and scrub after 2 min with almost no ink...
I was having trouble last week- I overnighted a strip and the module so that
I would have one (roland dealer doesn't always) and took the strip out and
flipped it over (on it's axis) and punched new holes- also took the module
loose and cleaned the 'lights'. It worked and is still working...
I just made a catch basket out of banner stock and copper pipe and fittings
that keeps the vinyl off the floor and swings out of the way if I need access
to web the laminator. It works for me. When I am done laminating I cut off
and pull the laminated vinyl over the top of the laminator onto...
When I change the page size in a file I usually have to save the file and
reopen it to be able to select any object. This happens most often (I think)
when we open an existing older flexi file, but it has happened with new
files as well. Any thoughts? Thanks Gene
Thank you all for the audio info- good stuff- except for tecdady whose
avatar I consider very offensive. I thought that kind of hate-mongering
had moved to the talk-trash category of this board:banghead:. Thanks Gene
