You can make any cast vinyl into comply by squeegeeing it to a piece of comply waffley backing paper. Just squeegee it down and then heat it with a heat gun. Try it... it really is that easy.
I thought this was kinda funny:
I designed a logo for a customer and sent all the usual file formats... cdr, ai, eps and threw in a few bitmaps (tiff, jpeg, png) for good measure. She emails me back asking for a Word file so she can select just the icon part of the logo with no text. I don't...
I highly doubt I will decode your irrational thoughts any time soon. Good luck with your quest. (How do you keep your balance with such a swelled head?)
I did not suggest you use the same machine for designing and printing. I suggested you use the same operating system through out your shop.
If you want specific responses from specific people you need to post specific questions. I don't know why you would think sign makers wouldn't respond to...
As near as I can tell the operating system is not part of the software I use to design. It merely allows the software to operate. It also gives me some place to save the files and find them again later.
Windows 7 has absolutely no influence on my design process. I find it hard to believe that...
So if I design a logo in Illustrator on my PC and send it to you and you open it in Illustrator on your Mac it will be exactly the same? (assuming same version of Illustrator) But according to some, It would be a better design if I drew it on a Mac?
That sounds reasonable. You like the Mac OS better and Apple has some nice software. I can figure that out. I just flat don't see how the same software on either OS wouldn't produce the exact same results.
Guessing? And just how many "designers" use $99 monitors?
Anyway... I was more thinking about what came out of the printer than what the monitor looked like. If you tell your printer to print 225,0,0 from Illustrator installed on either a Mac or a PC you should get the same colour.... no? I...
It sure sounded like you were asking if there was any advantage to switching to Macs.
I'd still like to know. Can a person tell when they are working in Illustrator or Corel whether it's on a Mac or a PC? If you can tell, that would be a big factor in making your decision I would think. So...
I've been using Turtle Wax Ice on my van for the past 6 years. It's not wrapped but it does have a lot of cast vinyl on it. The "wax" makes it look like the vinyl was just applied. It's more like the effect of Armor All than wax. You don't get any white residue in the edges or on the flat black...
