  3. Any advice appreciated!

just like anything you can have all the tools in the world, an abundance of knowledge...but none of it will make you a dime if you can't sell the services or products you are capable of offering. Identify your target market, a couple that come to mind for handcarved signs would be, homeowners...

  5. Gerber GS-15 plus cord problems?!?

most plotters come with a recommendation to only use the cord that comes with them, with that said i have had success (and failure) using other cords in various installation situations when i sold equipment. You may want to take the cord to the local shop you went to and have them test the cord...

corel does not suck...this is frustration from operator error. sit back take a deep breath and let us know what version you are using, listen to those who know how to set up corel for the various plotters. if you have no patience for this buy a bridge program like co cut which will allow you...

  10. Calvin being chased by an RC Airplane

Gino, we as well worked with many national companies and HD was the ONLY company that ever pulled anything like this... as I said to them and I still contend we violated no law but their own policy...as they want to control the situation so that they know that there is no deviation to their...
  11. Calvin being chased by an RC Airplane

Unfriggin believable.... messing with copyrights is nothing to joke about or think that you can beat, in time you will get stung...some companies take this extremely seriously..i did some work for a Harley Davidson Dealership and in that we created many signs with the harley davidson logo...
  12. Weeding Problem

i have been hired as a consultant for many new sign companies and MANY of them have started out with a Master brand plotter...I can tell you that htis is a common initial problem in that everyone that i have seen has had this issue and it has been corrected by adjusting the offset...i must say i...

  15. creation pcut opinions?

Ontario i could write you a book on why i feel this way, giving you multiple examples but i as well of all of us in the industry have had to do this too many times....so go for it, make the BIG BUCKS, but here is my prediction. You will buy a cheap a$$ piece of junk plotter that has no resale...

Mr Whatley you've got my vote at this point for the most creative, however, I did not appreciate cleaning the Orange Juice off of my monitor from laughing so hard at your "ground found"...very clever...clever indeed ;)
  17. Ideas for a plotter

Now look what you have done Techman...Don't you feel bad? I wouldn't either. What in the world are these people thinking that you can buy a plotter, some vinyl and with the snap of your fingers your going to be in business making the big bucks? Oh wait a minute look at all of the struggling...

  19. Hi from Washington

welcome. i sure am missing the pacific northwest this time of year, the change into fall, the smell of the cold brisk air in the mornings, the snowtopped mountains on a clear day.
  20. Routing material larger than your tables limits

i do not know Enroute either but you are not fooling your machine this is just simply indexing. the simplest way that i have had new operators do this is to route a series of registration marks at the beginning of your substrate and the end of your substrate or rather the maximum workable...
