  1. another laminator question!

Good idea ---try out Dale's Big Squeegee first. I have a Daige 3 55" unit. I think all laminators have some quirks and a learning curve (I know my Daige 3 did). I like my Daige 3 and I hear the Daige 4 is better as far as material loading. Price is around $2,000 and made in the USA...
  2. Estimate Problem

If you have "Vehicle Doors" set up as a substrate I still think you need to adjust the "Cost" and "Markup" in the edit mode and adjust it untill the pricing starts to make sense. Even though your actual cost for the "vehicle" is actually zero you still have to give it value for your pricing to...
  3. Estimate Problem

I have 3 catagories for vehicles in Estimate. 1) Vehicle doors, 2) Vehicle Panels over 6 sq. ft, 3) Vehicle Panels over 20 Sq ft. In the substrates you have to adjust your cost and markup accordingly until your pricing makes sense. I use Estimate but I'm not real fond of some of it's...
  4. New to site, Not new to industry

Don't you just hate being an old time sign guy and being labeled a ""Pre-Schooler"! You'll soon realize that those lables don't mean much around here, you should see some of our PhD's :Big Laugh Looking forward to your input. :Welcome:
  5. Can you have?

I do that all the time. My want list is much bigger than my wallet. You have to be selective. I'm not sure if that is what you were asking, since it seems pretty obvious.
  6. hi all from the netherlands

    Welcome from California
  7. Estimating

Hmmm... I never really gave it much consideration. I just looked at it again. I think Flexi would need to invest some more effort into it to make it competetive with other estimating and invoicing programs. It's not real user friendly and heaven forbid that I would need to open a manual.
  8. humbled

Watch out for those ladders! I have 4 screws in my ankle and came close to losing my foot by falling off an 8' ladder. Good luck!
  9. Oracal 3651

    What printer are you using?
  10. Fc7000 160

I have a Graphtec 7000 paired up with a HP 9000 and I've had no problems at all, that includes laminated and unlaminated. The cuts are always right on the money and I don't think I've had a "mark scan error" in 6 months (and I cut some pretty large graphics). I think sometimes the error might...
  11. Still pre-masking by hand..

I've had a Webber for a long time too. It's a good investment I think.
  12. Mutoh Ink Cartridges

When I converted from the Plus to the Ultra inks the difference was amazing. You will get much better reds, greens, etc-- all colors really. I sold my Mutoh a few months ago, but all in all it was a good machine -- especially with the new ink.
  13. Flexi 8 Upgrade ? ? ?

That's right Geary. I think we've all had distributor issues at one time or another. Mike, Todd and Andrea run a good shop down here though.
  14. Flexi 8 Upgrade ? ? ?

I also had purchased some new equipment at the same time as my upgrade -- I'm not sure if I got any additional discounts because of that.
  15. Flexi 8 Upgrade ? ? ?

It was a good, stable upgrade, though not one with major additions. The RIP is much faster, color output seems better and a few extra little doodads. I think I did get a new dongle, which sent a kill message to the old dongle. I purchased my upgrade through Denco Sales.
  16. Flexi 8 Upgrade ? ? ?

Seems like I paid around $400 or so.
  17. Great Info!

    Welcome
  18. Turkey Graphics

If you are looking for a BW vector to match that photo it seems like the one on Fred's site is a pretty close match.
  19. questions for the customer

10 vans would be a great first order (a great order period). I don't have a standard set of questions off the top of my head. I would ask... What sort of time period are they wanting for this campaign?-- 18 months, 3 years, 5 years, etc. Will all vehicles be exactly the same? Will you...
  20. Hello and thank you!
