I was told to only run the head height high for banners! I have noticed blurring when printing self adhesive with the head set to high. SC

The head height is set to high for printing banners and low for self adhesive vinyls. So if my vacuum is meant to turn off when the lever is lifted how do I reinstate this? SC

My question is:- Should the vacuum turn off when the lever is lifted? SC

Media stays on track. But it has got difficult to align it properly as the vacuum is constantly on. SC

I think when the machine was new the vacuum went off as you lifted the lever. It seems to be on all the time now. Is their a way of changing the vacuum and when it comes on? Their seems to be a lot of suction so I reckon it is working OK. SC

I have tried all sorts!!! It is as if the heaters are not heating all the way across. SC

This is mainly adhesive vinyl. It head strikes with and without the take up reel/bar. SC

On our VJ 1604 I have been encountering more and more head strikes. I have changed material suppliers but I still have problems. Even knocking the heaters down or off still gives me problems!! Is their anything I can do or should be looking at? One of my vinyl suppliers said it was the printers...

Choose some similair colours, print a large enough block, get customer to choose one. Simples....... I reckon it's pointless trying to match a flat colour to a metalic as even viewing from a slighly different can change the colour. In this case let the customer decide, just don't print too...

Thanks for that. I showed the customer that if they wanted this letterstyle it was gonna cost them as I didn't have it on my system. As soon as they found it was gonna cost them more, all the fuss they had made about that it had to be this font changed and they promptly chose another...

This is a Vista print font called kugelhopf, well that's what my client said. It looks familiar but their is nothing on my system like it. Thanks SC

Just had a further look and it is also smudging on the green part of the print. SC

Cor!!!! You are amazing....lol I am classed as the font finder in my business but lately I am beginning to struggle. Bring back the good old days when your Gerber IVB had a dozen letterstyles and you had to choose from them. SC

Just a little question..... Is your pump pulling the ink through? I find on my Valuejet the underlying pipework gets blocked and ends up causing exactly the problem you have. It will take a bit of time cleaning this all out and getting the pump clear. SC
