May be a daft suggestion, as it doesn't actually address the alignment problem, but perhaps could you print the back side with just the background and not the dog?
Thanks for that pointer!
I do seem to recall there being two F's like that somewhere but only one F shows (either on job or default properties), to the left of the Rotation figure button, and clicking it makes it face to the left and back to right (it's facing right).
So still hitting this...
Anyone had anything like this before, vertical mirroring/flipping?
It seems that it's the RIP process that is doing this flipping, I was re-printing a colour profile chart from previous job list (not removed after printing) and it was fine (print from back of machine to front, not inverted and...
Hi,
For some reason Flexi 19 (build 3350) is printing images 'backwards' when sending the job from Flexi to Production Manager, and on occasion tries to print from the back of the machine, backwards, resulting in an X-motor overcurrent error as it tried to move past the stop, backwards! This...
I realised after sending that it was probably Varnish, it was just I only saw the 4 tanks so didn't see YK and thought it may have been a special Violet ink or colours in a foreign language or something
Was this a Sign-in-China supply? They look really fancy, and the stirring facility...
Did a search but didn't find any answer so wondering if anyone has any idea how to configure the Mimaki UJF-3042 (mark 1) printer in Flexi so that it only has 6 cartridges and 5/6 are both White ?
At the moment it seems to think the UJF-3042 has 8 colour channels, and that White is Cartridges 7...
Thanks, yes I've seen them and indeed added to basket but as I'm in the UK I was looking to combine with something else to make cost effective use of shipping, and now I've just found they don't / no longer ship to the UK that's a bit of a problem!
Hi,
I guess this may be a long shot given the age of this printer/software but does anyone have an old 'deactivated' license of Rasterlink 6 available that is no longer required - have got RL5 for UJF-3042 but would prefer RL6 as a bit more up-to-date and user friendly for the local printing...
Glad to see you're making progress! I believe the correct tubing is Platinum Cured Silicone - I would get this from a reputable supplier (not Amazon as there's a greater chance of getting something that is falsely described). Plain silicone tube is not up to the grade and will split quickly in...
The mosfet is likely P-channel that needs the gate driving negative in respect of the source voltage to activate, so it's 'OFF' state is with the gate at the same potential as the source with a pullup resistor - it's probably driven from a tiny NPN bipolar transistor to pull the gate to ground...
You can check continuity when powered off from the fuses to the ends of the cable (and check grounds too) to find out. What it won't tell you is if the connection is poor when cable is inserted (e.g. high resistance), which can happen. It may help you locate some test points on the inbound side...
I think you're on the right approach to see if you're getting 5V from main pcb CN9 - you could measure from F1 and the conductors on the other end of cable (unplugged from CN1 on Sta4 pcb) - looks like there's 36V via there too (from F4), and also the ground to check.
Even if you get continuity...
echo Smoke_Jaguar's comments - 5V is going to be necessary here for most of the logic and control to operate (and therefore LEDs).
I am not familiar with your model having only worked on my UJF-3042, however Mimaki do seem to like to have their own 5v supplies on each board, and check for...
How old is it? I had to replace FFC cables in UJF-3042 from 2010 to get power enabled to slider board (Mimaki checks for good connection before sending power), it could be a similar issue. The cables themselves tested end-to-end ok (metered), but I think the exposed connector ends just got too...
I'm bowing to the superior knowledge of the brains on here...
For the original UJF-3042 Mk1 printer, I don't believe Rasterlink 7 will work with it, and have read some disparaging comments about RL6, although they may be just from experienced people who found the UI differences too great...
