The paint I am talking about is not old, unless Ronan sent me old paint. I know how this paint is supposed to look and act, I have been working with Ronan paints since 1992 - and what I am describing here is not what it is supposed to be. Thank you for your help anyway.

It is only some of the paints. Most of them are okay, but a while ago I ordered two gallons of yellow and one gallon of red and these are bad. I complained and they sent me replacement, they arrived in warped cans- usually not a good sign. The replacements were just as bad .The quarts I ordered...

The paint should not turn into a paste after standing in a small can for a week.....you should be able to skin it - but there is no skin - and add a little thinner if needed. Instead the whole paint turns into a mass

I do not think we are on the same page. I have been using the "small can method" for 25-30 years. No problem.

These are mostly pictorials and I paint lettering too. I also have one shot as well as lettering paint. My problem is specifically with the recent Ronan bulletin paints in the gallon cans - asking if anybody else experienced the "paste paint"??? The paint I take out of the gallon can I leave...

I never needed any before but I just purchased some high temp reducer and flow enhancer, it might help. Never needed anything else before besides thinner, sometimes use linseed oil for blending

I take the gallon can, pour some into a small 8 or 12 oz can, add a bit of thinner when needed and I use brushes. I paint sandblasted or carved signs with the paint. Have been using Ronan for the past 30 years and had no problem until just recently. Paint will not skin over in the little can...
