  2. Roland VG640 lines in print

Just occurred this evening, cyan or lt cyan drip on test print same spot each test. The light cyan dropout has been there for a while and think it might be the cyan head. Anyone see this before with the test print little pool of blue being dragged? Captops are in good shape and just changed the...
  3. Roland VG2 and VG3 owners

The waste occurs when loading material: it will clean. Doing a test print: another clean. Loading a cartridge: another clean. Time for maintenance: another clean before and after the maintenance! Power off and on: another clean. They are all 2:30 minute cleans and I watch the ink deplete. I...

  5. Roland VG2 and VG3 owners

Hi- Can anyone who owns these tell me if there is a ton of ink waste with the VG2 or VG3? Approx how many ml's of ink each month in your waste containers? Do these newer models clean each print or only when you tell it to clean? My VG is a nightmare with ink waste and was thinking of getting a...

  7. VG 640 Ink waste!

I did not own the machine prior to TR2. I did have white ink but the tech replaced it with another magenta, eliminating the circulation mode. Even still, it wastes a ton. I just wish there was a fix to turn off cleaning while awake! Cmon Roland give us a fix!!

  9. Backlit Vinyl Bubbling After 3 Years

same exact thing happend to me. Used 3 different types of vinyl 3m, oracal, printed vinyl, before I figured it was the lexan. I used translucent white 'plexiglass' with black vinyl- problem solved. Still looks perfect. It had everything to do with the LEXAN, black vinyl and the sun blasting it...

  12. VG 640 Ink waste!

Is this a normal amount of ink in a week's time with very little usage?? Every other time loading material goes through a clean cycle. Driving me nuts with the waste!! And then a slight clean for test print. (I want to see what the test print shows before a slight clean.) Vg640, TR2 ink...

  16. VG 640 test print woes

2nd update! The problem I thought was solved but still having dropout on test print exactly as the first photo in this thread and comes back to perfection after a "normal" clean. Each morning while sitting overnight -same thing, dropout and 1 normal clean looks and prints great. As stated...
  17. VG 640 test print woes

Update: there was a small leak under the captop where the small tube on the bottom of captop meets the small plastic junction. Evidence of cyan dripping from the bottom. Holding so far! Thanks for the help and input.
