  1. What is the mutoh 1624x minimum roll with that can be loaded

I taped over the rear sensor hole with white vinyl and use 18” wide rolls sometimes. Could probably go narrower, but I have never had any vinyl smaller than that.
  2. Completely frustrated with applying long panels on RV (Please Help!)

Application tape might help A few times I've had to wrap box trucks in 85-90 degree heat. To keep the panels from stretching, I put a 10" (approx) wide strip of application tape down each long edge. A little extra cost and time, but my panels would have started out fine in the morning, at 70...
  3. Customer supplying tons of copy

Do you mean printed pages, not files you can copy and paste from? You can use a scanner and an OCR program, such as http://www.onlineocr.net/ but you really have to go back and proof read the result, in my experience.
  4. Message Center Demo Videos

You'll have to get the pixel dimensions of your display (I design for a big one, yet the pixel dimensions are only 252 wide x 160 tall). I use Adobe AfterEffects to combine background videos with text and product images. I am only using CS3; I am sure CS2 is fine. If you make sure and keep the...
  5. Print tracking to one side, Mimaki JV3-130SPII

Thanks. At least if I had to destroy a part, this one isn't super expensive. I was able to perch it in the slot to get a fairly straight print, good enough until the new one arrives.
  6. Print tracking to one side, Mimaki JV3-130SPII

Oh man, I just checked on the eye - apparently cleaning it with solvent is no good. The black plastic housing had kind of rotted thru in some places. DANG. On the hunt for a new eye.
  7. Print tracking to one side, Mimaki JV3-130SPII

The vinyl stays correct, but the print walks over to the side. The sensor eye has been dislodged by head strikes a few times, and I've cleaned it with cleaning solvent a couple of times, maybe that's it.
  8. Print tracking to one side, Mimaki JV3-130SPII

I mis-spoke, it crawls to the right (or actually uphill as the printer was originally set up).
  9. Print tracking to one side, Mimaki JV3-130SPII

Hi all, I've searched and searched, and tried several fixes, with no luck. I have a JV3-130sp2, about 4 years old, with about 38,000 feet of media printed. I had some overspray problems, and a tech replaced all 4 caps. Now everything I print crawls to the left by about 5 inches over a 16 foot...
  10. Help! How to hem non-woven banner???

This is probably too late, but when I have to make a pole pocket in a vinyl banner, I design it with a fold-line at the top, then run the 2-sided banner tape up the sides, stopping about 3" away from the top, to allow the pole to slide in. With a 54" printer this kinda limits me to about 25-26...
  11. 3M 8915 Ultra Matte

I just wrapped my Honda Element and a co-worker's Civic using 8915 Ultra Matte. Feller's had to special order it, which kinda made me feel like I was making a mistake. But it looks fantastic, flat as construction paper! Time will tell how it holds up, but initially it is great.
