    You aren't using the highest resolution. Select the 1440x1440 setting That's the resolution (assuming you are using the highlighted blue selection of 720 x 1440 dpi)

    make sure you are printing at the highest resolution Versaworks or your rip allows. (This will typically be the slowest print speed)

    Hey board, Can anyone send me info on any printer, any location... that still uses dye based inks in a wide format printer? I need to do some water brush work on a digital print... and need it to bleed, run, etc Ideally a 44" wide or greater printer thanks!!

    Just an update to this old thread (incase it helps anyone in the future) I updated the firmware.. which brought some new menu choices The LEC2-300 has a 60 minute print timer... once you hit 60 mins of print time (cleaning, with no option to turn off or adjust)

    What ink brand are you using? My Roland UV inks' white shifts to yellow pretty quickly as well :(

    Epson's pigment inks have historically all been very very solid performers in regards to longevity and lightfastness. While I have no real data, I suspect the orange as well as all the other color pigments are the same they've been using in the Ultrachrome ink line for years

    I'm running a Roland LEC2-300. I believe the Peck software online is needed, and I've seen the PDF manuals/repair guides, etc when the tech has been on site. I'll keep you all posted as to what Roland says. I'm told they've escalated my request, as well as mentioned I will void my warranty...

    They were in business for a very long time, produced many many topographical maps... I think the owner just retired... nothing about 'not making enough money from it' Nevertheless... I wish someone would make a open source or conversion kit that was like this...

    A company in California, took apart each channel of the inkjet head, and put each color channel on a contollable z axis motor that moved up and down following the topographical contours of geological maps they CNC'd. They shut down a few years ago... but a very clever printer. Entire head...
