  1. Removable Wall Graphics - aka like Fathead

Hi Walkrite. Did you get a chance to try out the plastiprint or the mactac? We're also trying to find a reposition-able vinyl for small decals for kids bedrooms (in Australia which makes it harder to get vinyls). Ideally we want to print full bleed and cut straight away. With the GMI (Catalina)...
  2. Pc-600?

How hard is it to manually set base point? Do the machines with reg mark recognition work easily? I'll look into the spray option too.
  3. Pc-600?

I've emailed Roland and asked about joining the forum without a serial number. In the mean time I can't even see the posts. Just another querry. Is the PC-12 a far lighter weight machine (not good for any volume) compared to the PC-600. It has the ability to take sheets that have been removed or...
  4. Pc-600?

Do I have any way of getting on the Roland forum without a seriel number? Thanks Vid for all your input.
  5. Pc-600?

If I went down the print, laminate, cut route could I consider using my Epson 4000. It gives me waterproof prints that would have the abrasion resistence if laminated. Not sure how the pigment ink would go with higher temperatures?
  6. Pc-600?

Since my last post I've been doing more research an I'm keen to get a PC600. Does anyone know of anyone selling. They're are quite a few PC60 available locally but I'm keen on the ribbon saver and job cut off features in the 600.
  7. Pc-600?

Thanks for the advice. I'm also researching solvent inkjet but I'm not sure if it will be strong enough. These labels get put in the dishwasher over and over etc. I'm looking into getting abrasion testing done for thermal, solvent and laser toner onto PET. If I get the PC-600 I'd be using...
  8. Edge II advice?

There are quite a few vinyl that stick well enough. All the other people making thermal printed labels for this market use them. I think I'll just have to test in regards to the ink durability. If I can avoid it I'd prefer not to have to overlaminate to keep the work flow a simple print and cut...
  9. Edge II advice?

I have considered printers such as the SP-300V for this work but have been sceptical about the resiliance of the print. These labels get used through dishwashers etc. Any comments on the suitability of solvent for this use?
  10. Edge II advice?

That is quiker than I thought. Maybe paying extra for the edge would worth it.
  11. Edge II advice?

I'm looking into both the Gerber Edge II and Roland PC-600 for making those personalised "baby" labels. With the PC-600 I can print 6 different colored labels with no change over but I've heared these machines aren't the greatest. How many seconds does it take to change over ribbons in the edge...
  12. Pc-600?

I'm wanting to get a printer for doing small "baby" decals for labeling kids product etc. Had wondered about PC-600 because I can use 6 spots for single order unlike the gerber where I'd need to be changing my foils a lot. Is the PC-600 really that bad? Am I likely to have problems doing 80x20mm...
