Maybe you should get out to your local dirt track and see it for yourself. these cars, and others, carry so much speed down the straights, they have no choice but to back it in, slide through the turns and hammer down again. its quite a sight.

Just practice,practice,practice. It also helps to have a decent image as well. start with something easy and go from there. there are lots of tutorials but it comes down to your own preferences and techniques....this is a new project im doing right now wich is almost there.

on screen, mostly longer straight lines at any angle.

Using the pen tool takes Alot of time and patience! I never thought that drawing on my computer would take so much work! I completed this today, just thought I would share. Ive had illy cs3 for about3 months and practice everyday. So I finally forced myself to start and finish this in one day...
