I have a client that would like to do a base wrap on a food truck and overlay graphics on the base wrap. I have been using 3Mij180mc-10sls for printed projects, but not sure about the wrap film with the overlays. Has anybody attempted this and what results did you have?
I am looking for the old logo from around 20 years ago. An image would be good. I have been tasked with recreating logos for a throwback race car. Any help would be appreciated.
We had an issue with Avery 1105sc/1360 sticking to 3M 2080-m12. We overlayed a race car on a Friday. When we came in on Monday, the decals were on the ground or pealing off the car. We haven't had an issue since we switched to ij180cv3-10/85xx laminate.
Well, I turned 60 last year. They have decided not to let me talk to clients anymore. A couple years ago, a guy got upset at me for not meeting his deadline. I informed him when he placed the order that it wasn't possible. He then demanded I do his decals now. I told him to go to Walmart...
I did a job a few years back. A Suburban if I remember correctly. I laminated and cut the window perf on a Summa plotter. When I finished the install, I sealed the edge with 1/4" wide strips of laminate. It was easy to work around the contour cut edge. The client and shop owner were pleased...
We had similar issues here. Our cause was the new ink Mutoh had introduced. We have since flushed all lines, changed all dampers, the print head and the capping station. We then switched to Sun inks. We haven't had any issues since then.
We have just completed a 53' in similar condition. We had bead blasting to bare completed off site. It wasn't cheap. Our client decided not to prime/paint metal before re-wrapping. Gave a nice texture finish. We also advised the client that we would not be responsible for adhesion failures.
We made so paper table cloths for a kids day. We ordered a 60# white kraft paper from Uline and printed outlines on a Seiko M64 a copule days before the event. There were no complaints. I guess it worked.
It looks to me like there might be a temperature change as the machine warms up. Look to see if there could be slight buckling of the media as it moves across the platten. If there is, try dropping the pre and platten temps a couple degrees.
