  1. Cyan issue...anybody have an idea why?

Check first the cyan damper what Zoogee suggested. If you have ink inside the damper then check the capping. Most of the times when you loose a channel is the capping. Your print test looks like a Mimaki CJV150/CJV300. Mimaki's capping is notorious for the poor sealing, that is why I replace the...
  2. Mimaki JV 33 -160 Print issue

To me looks like you have two issues. First is a nozzle deflection on black ink. This happened to me with ES3 ink everytime. Always the ES3 black ink did nozzle deflection after a while even on brand new printheads. Second, indeed, looks like you need a drop position correction. Do this first...
  3. Need Help Mimaki UJV100-160 printhead failure.

I had a similar issue with my Mimaki and ended up being bad quality capping. Your head cleaning is not working as it should. If your issue is the capping station then during head cleaning process just the nozzle spray is working and the vacuum pump cannot pull the clogged ink from the nozzles...
  4. Mimaki CJV150 splashes ink around capping station when cleaning

The mystery has been resolved. I found dried ink on the bottom of the wiper moving assembly. The wiper holder did not click while inserted leaving the wiper one-two millimeter higher that it should be. This created that slingshot effect splashing the ink everywhere during the cleaning phase...
  5. Mimaki CJV150 splashes ink around capping station when cleaning

Thanks. I will check again the wiper holder. Now that you say this, I will check the height of the wiper. Looks to me bit too high and that can explain the slingshot behaviour. Normally I keep the capping station very clean and I don't allow ink build ups. Thanks for the tip.
  6. Mimaki CJV150 splashes ink around capping station when cleaning

Sorry, I had to keep my thread short and I did not explain why the capping station looks like that. The solvent showed in the capping is to prevent drying. The pump and the tubes are filled with cleaning liquid until printhead installation. When unclamping the tubes, the cleaning liquid drains...
  7. Mimaki CJV150 splashes ink around capping station when cleaning

I bought a second hand Mimaki CJV150-160BS almost new with a fried motherboard that I fixed. The printer came with a lot of disassembled parts, all in a cardboard box and I am not sure if I did get them all. When the printhead gets cleaned the rubber squeegee splashes ink everywhere around the...
  8. Please help with Mimaki cjv30

This is very strange. The only thing that I can think is you probably have a sticky Remote button. Compare the clicking sound and tactile feel of the Remote button with the others and see if feels the same. If the switch is faulty this could be an easy fix. A switch button is less than $1 and...
  9. Rasterlink stuck at locating & printing

It might be a silly question, but did you switch the printer to Remote mode from Local?
  10. CJV30-160 Y Axis OverCurrent:AVE - HELP!

I had a similar problem and I found out that it was the capping that was out of alignment. Check the capping position just in case. Also check for any build up of dust and ink at the capping station. Another idea is to check what the service manual says: Turn off the main power, and turn it on a...
  11. Left magenta missing, please help

I have a similar problem with the same printer model, just in my case the right magenta disappeared overnight. I have changed the dampers, the capping, redo the adjustments, vacuum pump, but nothing worked. Kilmore If you resolve this problem, can you please post here what you did?
  12. Problem with "black streaks" on vinyl material

I had a similar issue with my CJV150 and I found it was a ball of dust and fibres formed under the media jam sensor. This ball of fibres travelled over the capping station and getting ink from there creating black streaks identical with yours.
  13. Black streaks??? WTH?

On my Mimaki CJV150 I found a small ball of dust and fibres formed under the media jam sensor. Every time the sensor travelled over the capping station, the fibres took a bit of ink from the capping then smear it on the media. It was just chance to see the small ball of dust and fibres caught...
  14. Anyone have an idea what causes this?

Similar thing happens to me when the media does not stay flat. Usually with the monomeric vinyl, wrong temperature, high humidity or just the vacuum lost its suction. My printer is a Mimaki.
