  1. Firmware Update Nozzle Check

The only difference in the nozzle check should be the addition of the date/time etc. I would do a cold reboot (power off- unplug- press power to drain- then restart), and/or reload the firmware. Also 3.05 and up does not allow 440s on a 1324. Your ink choices are 220s or 1000 ml bulk

  8. Mutoh Valuejet 1324 [kcmy] Broken Chip Error

The only factory authorized method of turning off the smart cards to to retrieve an MPI file from your printer using an app called MSA. We then send the MPI to Mutoh and they generate a ULK file, which we reinstall with MSA. It disables the readers for an allocated amount of time. Since Mutoh no...
  9. Mutoh Valuejet 1324 [kcmy] Broken Chip Error

To further clarify: Mutoh VJ-1324/1324X with anything over firmware 3.02 cannot run 440ml cartridges. This is, in fact, because the cartridges are in the printer horizontally and 440s will not properly drain. Anyone with a Mutoh VJ-1324 or 1324X can use the 1000ml bag adapters. Broken chip...
  10. Mutoh1324x [kcmy] s/c recog. Err. Problem with ink cartridges?

  11. Subtank High

Mutoh reports that there is a bad batch of subtanks out there that collapse and will not refill. This issue is for 1641/1682 SRPros only. However, it's possible that could be an issue with an older machine too. Normally, replacing the ink valve should be sufficient unless there is a kinked line...
  12. Bulk Inket Cardridge

Push on the valve actuator so it opens up and push cleaner through the adapter from the end that goes into the printer. It should come out of the needle that pierces the ink bag. Be sure to order some new plugs because you don’t know how long they have been in it and can leak if they are old
  13. Mutoh 1324 new Maintenance Station noise

Not because of cross contamination. Nozzles missing means you need a head if they won’t recover from cleanings. Don’t clean with Little Charge or Inital Charge. Ifn fact 2 smalls works better than one long cleaning

  18. MUTOH CUTSERVER SETUP V4.1.0

Mutoh no longer supports the Kona. It’s possible that the file is on the Mutoh Europe site, since that is where the Lona cutter was sourced from in the first place. Meanwhile, I’ll check the dealer FTP.
  19. What is the mutoh 1624x minimum roll with that can be loaded

From the rear media sensor to the edge of the home side ( left from the back) media spool. The rear media sensor hole is an oval shaped hole between 2 pinch rolllers. You can see the hole from the back. I’m thinking close to 18”-24” is the minimum.
  20. VJ1638x Printhead Problem

Are you sure the ink solenoids are opening? You could exercise them in diagnostics or hold them open and pull from under the cap with a syringe
