  1. Cutting through the backing paper

Okay...here's an update. Completely and totally new file. Cut fine...UNTIL the end of the file. It's just a simple text file about 52" long. It cut fine until like the last two letters. It cut them through the backing paper. I don't know what's wrong with the silly thing. I'm going to...
  2. Cutting through the backing paper

I'll try that. I still think it's the strip. The file I recreated was totally new. ...Oh wait! I copy and pasted so it could have still been corrupted...hmmmm!!! Let me try that real quick and I'll get back to ya'll. I'm still going to change the strip out just in case.
  3. Cutting through the backing paper

Hey guys! I'm fairly certain that Pro Signs is right on the money. There is a dip on the left side of where I was cutting and that's where it was going through the backing paper. HOWEVER, when I moved it down to where there was no change in the strip, there was STILL the left side cutting...
  4. Cutting through the backing paper

UGH! It's not working again!!! I sent something else after adjusting and it worked fine...went back to the original job and it started cutting through the backing again. WEIRD! I checked the settings in my software and it wasn't off. Hmm..maybe just a bad file??? Is that possible??
  5. Cutting through the backing paper

I did that too. It's barely sticking out. I can hardly feel it. My test cut is fine. It weeds perfect and doesn't go through the backing. But when I go to cut the job is a different story! Okay....I thought I sent this but I didn't.....I READJUSTED my blade depth. Put it either futher...
  6. Cutting through the backing paper

Help help help!!! NO matter what I do it keeps cutting through the backing paper! :( I had my force at 14 and it didn't cut through the paper but it only scored the letters. I changed it to 15 and it cut all the way through the backing paper. So I thought hmm I'll change it back to 14 and...
  7. heat transfer problem help!

Why can't you use the teflon sheet with the color print? I'm not that familiar with the heat press materials. Well I am just not the ones you print on then apply. I know that if you use tape you have to use some sort of paper tape. The clear stuff will melt.
  8. heat transfer problem help!

Is that a paper mask or a clear mask? I'm not that familiar with transfer rite. Also it might be better to use a teflon sheet instead of masking tape.

  12. Software/Clipart help...

So many people do not understand how wonderful LXI truly is. If you are doing NO DIGITAL PRINTING and ONLY DOING VINLY CUTTING it has all the design capabilities and tools as Flexi Sign Pro at a fraction of the cost. This is the Master Plus version I am talking about. It's the same thing w/o...
  13. Recommendations - Graphtec CE5000-60 vs Roland Camm-1 Servo GX-24

That's what I say all the time! When a potential customer asks me what's better Graphtec or Roland? My response is always what's better Ford or Chevy?
  14. Recommendations - Graphtec CE5000-60 vs Roland Camm-1 Servo GX-24

You will see a huge difference in the quality of the cut between the stepper and the servo. I personally like the Graphtec over the Roland but you will find others on here who will disagree with me.
  15. Xposition Alarm???? Graphtec

I just give mine a little slack at the roll it's self.
  16. Xposition Alarm???? Graphtec

Ken don't be scared of the Graphtec. It's not a default or anything. It's just simply not enough slack in the roll. The roll has to flow smoothly or there's too much tension on the tool carriage. That's going to be on any machine.
  17. Xposition Alarm???? Graphtec

This is true too. It's pulling the vinyl too fast which pulls it tight which causes tention on the tool carriage WHICH CAUSES THE ALARM! I have tried to find the exact description from the Graphtec manual but for some reason cannot. I know it's somewhere because I read it when mine did it the...
  18. Xposition Alarm???? Graphtec

There HAS to be slack in the roll or it's going to do it. You are putting too much tention on the tool carriage thus the alarm.
