  2. OKI (Seiko) ColorPainter M-64 Error 2614

Actually, this gets caused more often than not by the flag inside the subtank coming unglued from the bag and not flagging the sensor at all, causing it to continuously run, thinking that the tank isn't filling up. I've had to disassemble and reglue at least 25 tanks.

  5. Can VSi not print "good" red?

VSi can absolutely make great reds. Just the canned 'generic vinyl' profile and RVW-43K red is a perfect PMS 185/186 match. Definitely sounds like your printer profile is off, OR you have a mismatch between the embedded profile in the art files, and the output file selected in Versaworks.

  8. Need Help Scan Motor Error? Printer currently dead in the water

A few things. First the tension on your belt is probably too low, or the belt is junk and isn't holding tension. If when doing the limit position setup, the machine isn't pulling the carriages apart for you, then the first step isnt being done correctly. It should say, set to home, then you lock...
  9. Need Help Scan Motor Error? Printer currently dead in the water

scan motors have a lifetime expectancy of 1500 hours, not 5000. Separate the carriages and slide the print carriage back and forth, then the cutter carriage. The print carriage should glide free and smooth since the scan motor and belt are not attached to it. If the print carriage is hard to...

  17. Head height & calibration issues sp-540v

A few things, First make sure your bias is locked down before even running any of the other tests. When retightening the 3 head screws, always do them in order. 19. Sc-545ex ink flow problem

First, stop pulling with a syringe. When the heads are parked on the caps, they should be air tight. If they arent, then your capping station is misaligned to the heads. The ink fill process is there for just that. To fill the ink as if the machine is new. If it doesnt work, then there are...
