  1. Nonstop viruses, can't get rid of them?

I'm inclined to agree with Hudson. If if it were just 1 or 2 infections, quarantining or deleting wouldn't be a big issue. In this case you may have infections that may not show up until months later. Backup your important files like Projects, Accounting Files, etc, then run a format and...
  2. Epson 4800

Well, the Epson 4800 has been discontinued and has been replaced with the Epson 4880. If you have or are still getting the 4800 it's probably used, but still finding ink shouldn't be a problem. That leads to the next part. The 4800 series are aqueous inkjets which means you can't print to vinyl...
  3. FTP hosting...

juan45215 has a good idea. I've used them many times.
  4. FTP hosting...

Who is your website hosted through? If you already have one, check your control panel settings. You probably already have FTP access and just need to setup a user account. Check your Bandwidth and Disk Storage Limits as you may need to bump it up if you're expecting mega files on a regular basis.
  5. Waste Tank

Pour the liquid into something absorbent like cat litter or the substance used for oil spills in garages. As for the pads it's usually advised to replace them.
  6. Need some help with vinyl express Qe60+

It could be a software override issue, then again maybe not. I don't have a software screen in front of me so bear with me, but when you click the "Cut/Plot" Button, Select the "Advanced Tab", then "Driver Options". Select "None" on the drop down box. This should disable the Software from...
  7. Printing a freaken gray on this valuejet =O

While many on here are correct in suggesting that you should learn how to profile, make sure you "learn how to profile", before you change your profiles. "Messing" around with the settings could be very bad.
  8. magnetic sign from signwarehouse

Also depends on if the vehicle is brand new or has been freshly painted. Sometimes the paint or protection hasn't cured and can cause problems. I'd never leave magnetics on all the time.
  9. mayan / aztec calender

I thought 31st. Oh well, 10 less days.
  10. Starting out

You're one of the few noobs that actually has a legitimate background and interest in this industry. You don't seem at all like one of those guys that come in here saying "I'm wanting to make window stickers." For that I say Thanks and Welcome aboard.
  11. another new person

Wow! I'ved lived in Denison, TX (20 miles south of Durant), for most of my life and attended* SOSU. *didn't graduate.
  12. oh man another n00b with a q

I was just randomly checking your area for supplies, but what about these guys? http://www.signtechnologies.com.au They seem to offer a few supplies (mostly printing) but may be able to order more varieties from their suppliers.
  13. Vinyl signs

You're getting the "cold shoulder" attitude because you work for an industry that most Sign Shops can't stand. Not Real Estate, but the agents who come in and try to haggle down pricing like their buying a car. Not saying you're that type, but that's one of the reasons. Now, as far as getting...
  14. Need honest, non-ripping feedback on Enduracut plotters

The EnduraCuts aren't like the Chinese cutters from Desay or Creation. Supposed to be from GCC which would make them a little better because they're from Taiwan. If you're still wanting something economical , Signwarehouse also has their Q Series cutters. Those are built by Graphtec. They sell...
  15. which one?

First Read this Post: http://www.signs101.com/forums/showthread.php?t=13637&highlight=Magic+Bullets Second, as POCONOPETE asked, what is your target market? Different printers are used for different applications. For General Sign Making, Eco-Sol Printers are popular, but then you have several...
  16. How to do vehicle wraps video........

Go to a class. Videos will show the basics.
  17. Vinyl Cutter

Why aren't you pleased with it? I'm thinking about getting either the Qe or the Q-60. Mainly for vinyl only apps, so ARMS wouldn't be a factor.
  18. Clusty

One of the toughest issues coders face when implementing web software/websites is cross-browser compatibility. Usually FireFox, Opera, and Safari are going to "play by the rules". Microsoft has been known to break the way code is supposed to be read, often resulting in opposite results. The page...
  19. tv through the computer?

I finally did a search for slingbox, here's a link: http://www.buy.com/prod/slingbox-av/q/loc/111/203138984.html There are accessories you'll need for it to work.
  20. tv through the computer?

Oh.... ok then. Google "slingbox", "iptv", or "internet TV", such devices do exist, I just can't remember the specific names.
