  1. UV Printable Acoustic Panels

Order it from a wholesaler. Will be less expensive than you think and look nice. I have acoustic panels in my house and I can't see myself UV printing on them. If your UV printer has soft ink you can print on material. Mine is hard ink. Which I think would not be ideal for sound absorption.
  2. UV Printable Acoustic Panels

Why not use sublimation and add a fabric cover. Some strechable material.
  3. Experience with Epson f6370

We never had the green color problem till we changed Black Inks (still Epson just a refill). We will be cleaning out the old black and trying a new black to see if that helps. How do you make your custom profiles? Are you using Epson for the rip or other. I have the option to use Flexi which...
  4. Direct Print To Aluminum vs Vinyl Application?

How about caring the ACM with a spray laminate or roll laminate after UV print on the ACM. We do use pretreatment for adhesion promotion for all our UV long term prints with good results. So far 1 year in direct sunlight in the Caribbean.
  5. Epson F6370 Green Colorshift

We use the 6370 as well. We have experienced the same green shift even when printing with Rich Black. We will be testing some adjustments shortly but everything g was fine till recently. But on some prints we are getting a perfect black. I need ti measure the color mix to see the difference.
  6. Exterior mounting of ACM or Maxmetal 6mm product without screws

What about something like Quick Snaps that you can mount with adhesive to the back? I have been using them quite often as cost effective with bi component glue.

THank you. I also thought the primer would be of high importantance.
  8. Mounting acrylic UV print to aluminum

Also what thickness of tape do you use? Most of my experience is in metal sublimation and we use a self adhesive PVC cleat system that has been amazing both cost wise (almost the same cost as VHB tape per inch.
  9. Mounting acrylic UV print to aluminum

Thank you. What types of backing have you used? MaxMetal? or other brands of ACM?
  10. Mounting acrylic UV print to aluminum

Question where do you place the tape. Only around the edges or also in the center?
  11. Mounting acrylic UV print to aluminum

I am curious, you don't use a full film for the entire surface of the acrylic print? Isn't there excessive force on the ink, since the surface area is small using a tape and the ink is a point of contact between the tape and the metal?
  12. Any Techs in the DFW?

Change the pump. The maintenance station is probably dead
  13. Need Coating recommendations on UV Prints.

I am using Maribu Production Clear Coat.. Most coatings react with UV ink. I think they have a new version that works with UV ink
  14. Medium-format flatbed printer?

I am using a 40x60 machine. I which I purchased the full size machine instead. Too many jobs lost not being able to do a full sheet. The difference in footprint between a 40x60 and a full 48x96 isn't that much. Make sure the machine and your location can handle coroplast as static will be an...
  15. Anybody use Mac?

Agreenbutbdont run a rip via VM. Tried. Not a great experience. Stops suddenly etc. Easier to get a small dedicated PC for rip with Window Pro and RDP
  16. Anyone getting a good Dye Sub black and white?

I think I posted on another thread. Not easy to get great BW. I suggest converting to Grays ale and back to color. I have 2 printers. Epson 6370 and Mutoh 900x. Epson using canned profile which for me is great and the Mutoh using a deep black. Mutoh is better in blacks but not perfect...
  17. Sublimation Printers

Just buy and Epson small format sublimation printer. Not a repurposed one but one designed for sublimation. I wish they made them years ago. You are lucky they are available now.
  18. FAYON electric trimmer

I have one. I find it so so. It is a bit flexible so that affects the alignment. You can align the laser somewhat. I would prefer a manual more solid item.
  19. Experience with Epson f6370

No sticking w. Duraluxe & higher success rate. Might be the paper, temp. We have had high failure rate on large format Polyester based metal with flaking edges.
  20. Experience with Epson f6370

Do you sublimate your chart on Chromaluxe & then measure? Do you have different profiles for different sublimation products. I am still using Epsons profiles usually print 8 pass but we use Duraluxe as our main metal. In my environment Chromaluxe fades fairly quickly.
