Easy but possible solition. Clean the rail and re lubricate.
This may sort it but probably wont.
More likely is the scan axis motor.
You can find these around for £100-£150
We sell them as well.

Good luck
I'm guessing it's a used machine?
You need to remove the bed which the media runs over before going into the heater.
There a 1x 10³ little screws.
Clean all the tiny holes.
Clean the gutter underneath the plates removed.
The other course maybe too much vacuum. This might be the case. You can...
We just got in a lovely Fotoba WR64.
Without any documentation.
The keypad looks common to many fotoba models.
Does anybody have a user manual they would care to share?
Thank you.
Kind regards

Distilled water and ultrasonic bath for 1, 2 3 minutes.
If the can select power start on a low setting. To much power can damage them.
I use cold water as I don't know if heat will do something unhelpful to the blocked nozzles.
It the heads have damaged foils there is no way back.
You can use a...
There are some interesting suggestions here.
The shims are spot on I think - no play apparent.
I'll check the screws and then do the small belt. I've got belt material with the right tooth profile so I think I can make one up.
I agree it better to use oem parts, but cost is also a factor.

What things wear and reduce the accuracy of summa cutters?
We look after a summa cutter. It's generally cutting lots of circular stickers about 2 or 3 inches diameter.
I'm told when it was new was accurate on large sheets, and would cut at high speed.
As its worn the speed has to be reduced...
Just checked the summa spec
Its 0.2% which is disappointing.
We are about 1500mm between the corners, so 3mm is within the spec of the machine. That is really underwhelming.
I'll check calibration.
I am fairly sure the cutter are more accurate when new.
Due to our inexperience and the age...
Hi we are cutting a sheets of printed circular images on a summa s160t
Media about 54"
Diameter of circles about 50mm
We're losing tracking as it proceeds through the print- the cut circle is moving away from the printed circle. It's about 3mm out along an axis about 45 degrees.

We had an issue with a s160t
On start up the carriage would just twitch then the machine would error.
The issue was the encoder at the base of the x axis drive motor.
It had cracked and become detached.
We did manage to re attach it at the cutter sort of worked but not well, losing...
We have vertical banding in l28500.
I went nuts trying all sorts of stuff.
Then I noticed on a 2.3m wide print which was all black, that the banding was not across the whole width. The bit on the left hand side was good free of banding
The vacuum bed looked clean but I attacked it with various...

I've had load of trouble with vertical banding.
Failed to sort it, after many attempts.
Stuff went out and was just about accepted.
Then we put on a new roll of media.
Suddenly everything was perfect.
Good luck
Hi,

The roller is quite damaged - see pic.
