  1. Poblocki Sign Company Shut Down?

Our company has been around for over 50 years, and our owner was shocked to hear it closed. Said we used to do a lot with Poblocki, never had any issues, then nothing for years (assuming since the acquisition). For all the shop personnel, the Milwaukee- Chicago area is kind of the mid west hub...
  2. In need of a fabric banner

Used to print a ton of fabric banners for trade shows and backdrops, table runners & skirts... Ultraflex in a post above was one material I used. Others I used were from Big Systems down the road from you in Menominee Falls. Used their BigSol 753 satin polyester fabric and WetJet 454 heavy...
  3. Just replaced both print heads (OEM) on my SG-300, now it won't print anything

Depends on what fuse, and where in the chain. There are a couple of std barrel fuses, but the ones that usually blow are soldered on the boards. You'll have to use a multimeter and test to see which one. It's been a hot minute since I dealt with Roland's, maybe someone else can point out the...
  4. Just replaced both print heads (OEM) on my SG-300, now it won't print anything

Roland's are very temperamental with their electronics. One cable set wrong, one drop of ink on anything electronic (especially the ribbon cables and connectors, don't completely disconnect power and let capacitors discharge before you do anything, and fuses, sometimes even boards go bye-bye...
  5. Poblocki Sign Company Shut Down?

Damn... They've been around forever. Used to do a lot with them. If he did sell out to an investment company, it's not surprising they closed, they just pillage and plunder companies.
  6. Is your shop prepared for the upcoming barter system?

My version of "plant based meats"... The meat can eat all the plants they want before they become sweet, salty, succulent bacon.
  7. Overlaminate without a laminator

We picked up one of the electric cold ones on wheels, pretty much same guts as the table tops, but with a stand and a feed motor. Started out just to see how well it would mount graphics (had a big order of 4x8 acm panels to mount full graphics to), didn't want to risk damaging rollers on our...
  8. Is your shop prepared for the upcoming barter system?

You wouldn't come protect me for free bacon?Well, I never... :noway:
  9. Overlaminate without a laminator

Get a manual laminator. Tabletop ones range from $100-300-ish, depending on width/ vendor. You can get larger manual or electric ones under a grand. They don't have heat assist, takeup systems, or any of the other goodies, and to be honest, too low quality for full production use, but they do...
  10. Is your shop prepared for the upcoming barter system?

I'd probably need a little assistance breaking down a whole animal at my age. Don't like to share, but who wouldn't help out for a cut of the bacon, or good smoked pork? Convert a tanker truck into a smoker, a refer for storage, mmmmmm.
  11. Is your shop prepared for the upcoming barter system?

I'll use all the stuff we have for signs to build a big ol' thunder dome cage. Charge everyone a pig for admission because, well... I like bacon.
  12. Not getting login code

You couldn't get that lucky, yer' stuck here with all us reprobates ;)
  13. Is your shop prepared for the upcoming barter system?

If it's zombies, I got nuthin' to worry about. They eat brains, I'm a drummer... Do the math.
  14. Is your shop prepared for the upcoming barter system?

Signs will be needed... How ya' gonna know it's coming without them?
  15. color code for reflective vinyl

Check with your vendors, we often get specialty and reflective vinyls by the yard.
  16. Not getting login code

Go into your account and disable the two factor authentication, you should be able to log in as usual. You can always re-enable it later and see if it works like it should, or when you find out if it's a glitch.
  17. Epson Surecolor S40600 Spatters

Damaged head (from a head strike, or head is cracked/ damaged in some other way), ink line leaking, a fitting loose, or cracked, cracked damper, internal leak in the head, something stuck on the head by the magenta that's collecting and dropping the ink (usually doesn't drop that much, but a...
  18. Jv33-head and print advice needed

The lower priced ones usually don't come with the head memory board, you have to remove the one from the old head and use it on the new one. Make sure your printer is compatible, they all look the same, but usually run on different voltages to match each printer brand/ model. If you go that...
  19. Jv33-head and print advice needed

If you're referring to the comp, that's about normal. I run that occasionally as part of regular maintenance, and it always ends up anywhere from high 20's to mid-high 30's on one, the other printer is around 40-ish +/- a few. It may just be aging out, and time for that new head you ordered.
  20. Jv33-head and print advice needed

Just as a rule of thumb, the average lifespan of a head is around 5-ish years. Some get a lot more, some get less, depends on how well you maintain the printer, how much you print, but in my experience, that's about when they start aging out. Looks like you had multiple problems, if the capping...
