UPDATE: we have had both heads replaced (they were starting to de-laminate) so far prints have been ok but i have another 120 panel job coming up shortly so that will be the big test. Thank you all for your input and advice.
this might be an obvious and silly question but.. are you shaking the white inks at the start of each day? how long between using and not using the whites?
Thanks this was the first thing I though to be honest: print heads are clean as well as the head guard and lamp glass. numerous head height checks show 0.2mm difference across the sheet. we tried different brands of Di-bond and different batch numbers with no change. we have had a new encoder...
it does look like optimiser issue. have you run a print head test? if not recommend that as first course of action. depending if it shows up as an issue i would firstly remove optimiser head and give it a manual clean. failing that replace it.
how old are your UV lamps? can you reposition them on this machine like we can on the mimaki flatbeds it looks like over cure where the lamp is burning the layer of white on the second pass. maybe reduce lamp curing % ?
I have had the same issue on clear acrylic and on glass. Yet to completely resolve this. I found what works best for me is leaving the primer on for around 15-20 minutes then buffing the surface with a lint free cloth. but this is not perfect, like you say the surface can look spotless until you...
Good morning all, as you can see i have an issue with print quality (flatbed 1 image). we have replaced the encoder (this was needed anyway) but the issue remains. the red arrows where the issue is on print (NOT PRINT DIRECTION)
(flatbed 2 image) shows the print position on the flatbed. if...
Good morning all, I have an issue where my printer is running 1.5mm over size on the feed direction only. Normally I wouldn't complain about such a small amount and with the job having 10mm bleed on each edge, however it is causing issues with our panel joins not aligning by 1.5mm (Pain when...
this is also the system I use, I created a spread sheet. I would keep a note of what I used during each day. then before order cut off time I would transfer that data onto my spreadsheet. if the material fell to minimum reorder level or below I would then order what's required in for next day.
I also have a UV flatbed printer, found the same with the C/W/C layering top colour layer at around 35-40% also gave us the illumination finish without over saturating the daylight image. I was just curious about the latex printing as I am new to these machines and wanted to see if it was an...
Hi all, just a newbee question. Can the HP800w print double pass (double layer) print. I have a job to run onto translucent that will be illuminated and i am not sure if this machine is capable of running a double pass print.
thanks, I thought possibly a wire clip, after cleaning it up you can see the two prongs on the one end have snapped off from something, the prongs look like a hinge. So I am inclined to agree that its a retainer clip of some sort.
Happy new year all. I have returned to work today and upon getting my flatbed ready I found this little dude just sat there minding its own business at the back of the capping stations, there does not appear to be anything snapped off or broken that I can see and so far the printer is working...
