06 Escape bodyside cladding/ trim moldings

I've been asked to do a partial side wrap on a 2006 Ford Escape. This model has the lower body cladding that is dark grey with a light texture. Will wrap vinyl adhere to this material and last. I've never wrapped a vehicle with this and want to know if I should stop at the moldings or continue down the sides with the wrap. I'll be using 3M 180C.

Thanks, John

Yeah I stop at the cladding. I've done quite a few Chevy Avalanches too with this plastic, and tried to heat treat and use 3M primer. It stuck ok but eventually failed. After that, I learned to not wrap those parts. Really cuts a lot of the design space off on those trucks, but oh well. They bought the dang thing.
