1204 Auto Clenaing Cycle problem

My 1204 is stuck on cleaning at every 6 hrs. I can set it for 9 or 12 and it still does it every 6 hrs. I want to set it at every 9 hrs like in the past. It says I have it set for 9 but it still comes on every 6 hrs. Is there a reset on these things. Any insight on this would be helpful. I also have this connected thru a UPS backup/surge protector system. Thanks--Phillip

this is not helpful at all but...

I have mine set at 6hrs - and have had the beast for about 2 years - in all that time, I have never, ever, once heard it just start up and do a head cleaning cycle. Only time is if I (remember) to run a manual cleaning, or when I send a print job (and its been past the clean-cycle time) it will do one before it prints.

So, I'm curious to hear potential fixes as well...
