3/4" PVC vs. 3/4" MDO

I'm trying to decide on 3/4" PVC vs 3/4" MDO (ready to go) for a 8'x3' sign. Besides cost, is there a reason to prefer one over the other, like durability, warping etc.??

I would feel more comfortable with the MDO - because there are varying grades of PVC. I pretty much know that if edge sealed properly that 3/4" MDO will hold up a long time and I have less worry about the sun and temps affecting it over the long haul.

Just my opinion...

Being in New Jersey, how is this going to be used since temperature changes will have much effect on the PVC ??

Are you carving it, adding die-cut letters, digital prints, painting, gilding............... ??
How is it being installed ?? Between two posts, hanging, on a wall, batens......... ??

Cut vinyl lettering--it will be mounted to a brick wall with L-brackets above and below.

MDO, but fill the voids on the edges, seam your sedges and give them two more coats of top coat.
