yes ,,its quite normal,, you can use original primer cartridges and it can preserve the ink to the printed materials,,,,or else u can try any local clear liquid coating,,,

I just received the primer. But it's not in cartridge. It came in plastic bottle.

It is OK. I suggest to you to clean the object with Izopropilic alcohol and after that use your primer.
