Question 8x4 coro (flutes running wrong way)

we have been asked to make some "wrap arounds" for the pipe protecting gas pumps
(see picture)
can i get white coro with flutes running on the 4' dimension?
then i can use a coro claw and slit one side of the coro and wrap around

otherwise, what would you use to join 2 4' pieces together ? grommets?

the image will be 36" x36" & with the flutes running "the right way"
i just need to reinforce with a length of white "gaffer tap" and add a few ties
to attach to the pipe

You most definitely can! I have a full skid of it on my floor for this exact purpose. I believe Grimco stocks it and you can get it by the sheet. I get ours by the skid from lindenmeyr.

Is this wrap around to last like a day or so ??
no, ideally it will outlive me.

seriously, though, slit i side of the flute, in four places, making a rectangle, (the way the supermakets make end of aisle displays) then put a length of 2" gaffer tape on the inside, reinforcing the inside seams, and allow a 2 inch overlap, with banner tape (the 5th side) to close it off & put 3 grommets in, on the 2" overlap it should hold up for quite a while.

do you have a suggestion to re-engineer my whole project?

You're using interior examples and think they'll work outside at a gasoline pump. Not only do they hafta hold up against snow, ice, rain, sun, but people abusing them both on purpose and accidentally

True enough, but i see them up EVERYWHERE. and my client will resell quite a few of these.
with a higherpriced substrate it won’t happen. The whole project will just go away or theybwill purchase elsewhere

You must never visit gas stations. These are everywhere and we have printed 100s if not 1000s of these on corrugated and banner. Corrugated is a perfect cheap outdoor material for this.

Like OP said print direct, score, trim, pack and ship. Extremely easy and profitably product.

I am surprised.
everywhere they have those posts to protect gas pumps, etc
(every once in a while you get the careless or drunk driver gojng into the frontwindow of a convenience store.)
the soda companies and cigarette companies provide these all the time

Seen quite a few. Fairly recent marketing idea. Thick coro with a direct print zip tide to the guard posts on a gas pump island. Cheap enough to replace when or if damaged.

Gas stations have always been way too tight a client to chase. They like cheap.

Yes. If you order from a place that lets you use a full sheet (4' x 8'), the flutes go the 8' length, you just make your designs go the other way. Signs 365 is easy to use. If it is outdoors, I like to spray mine with SEM color coat Clear #13003. protects, seals and makes it last longer, However coroplast degrades and cracks up if exposed to outdoor weather condition for a few years.

1.) This is a common product. It will last as long as a typical promotion - 1-3 months - without any issue outside if you make it from corrugated plastic. (
)
2.) Reverse flute, short flute, ~48" flute corrugated plastic is reasonably common. We stock a half truckload of it here at FireSprint for 18x24" yard signs. Many sign suppliers stock it, but you need to ask for it specifically.
