Acrylic sign without standoffs

Hey everyone,

I need some advice on hanging a reverse-printed 3/16" clear acrylic sign with a white flood (I'll be outsourcing it from Signs 365). The customer doesn't want to use standoffs, so I was considering VHB tape, but Signs 365 advises against it since it could damage the print.
My thought was to apply white vinyl over the print to protect it and then use VHB tape, but I'm not entirely sure if that’s the best approach. Any suggestions? The sign is a 24x24" circle.

Appreciate any input!

Ask the customer where he got his hanging instructions ?? Ya do it right.... using physical fasteners or don't do it at all and let him take the chance. That's a lotta weight to count on for tape to hold.

There are stand offs that grip the edge of the acrylic, instead of going through a pre-drilled hole. We just did a large job and that's what they will use to hang them.
Definitely don't want to put anything adhesive on the back of a reverse print.
