Anagraph 60E on Widows 7 connected via series to USB cable

Advice requested

I have recently purchased Vinylmaster to go with my Windoiws 7 Dell 64 bit computer on which I have a serial to USB transfer cable

When I press cut the vinyl scrolls back and forth approximately 4 ft before cutting at about a third of the selected font size

Grateful for suggestions as to how i can resolve this
