Anyone print PVC banners with Roland printers?

Hi,

Does anyone use Roland printers with the eco sol max ink to print PVC scrim type banners?

Do you find they're durable enough or do the inks scratch too easily?

Would a proper solvent or UV printer work better or would you say the eco sol inks are "good enough"?

Thanks.

We print quite a few on our vs-540 and after a few hours to dry the inks are very durable, we can flip them face down on our table to hem them, sometimes we forget to wipe down the table first, but never had a scratch.

I print them all the time with my SP-540V. The ink really needs it's 24 Hour dry time before I hem them, otherwise the ink is very easy to scratch. Within a few days they are scratch resistant. I have a lot of customers around here that use them as their store signs and haven't had any complaints yet. I use the vinyl II profile to print on 18 oz material and it seems to work really well.

No issues here. Just have to let the ink set. We usually print banners in the afternoon then hem next morning. 13oz JetFlex works a treat.
