Applying vinyl lettering to latex painted walls

I have had luck with washing a latex wall down with TSP, which you can get at any paint or hardware store. However, I only do this for full mural walls and advise customer they may have to paint after removal.

ok so to clarify the 3105GHT is Oracal and the 180 LSA is OTAJET? The Otajet is a cast vinyl so its possible to cut lettering out of it?

3105ght is orajet. Otajet was my phones auto correct, sorry!

180-LSE is 3M. It's a cast material used for wrapping. You can cut letters out of both... We do all the time. Orajet is a pretty good calandered, it doesn't shrink too much.
