There was a thread about this somewhere once, there is quality issues with the DPF313 banner material now. Multiple rolls have bugs in it such as a spider and gnat. It's fused into the material and not stuck to the outside. I just contacted Arlon about it. I guess I get what I pay for even though it used to be good material.

Key vs. Forward

Any experience with the GRIMCO ForwardBanner with the L360?
I like it, but seems to get a little wiggy with the heat. Doesn't stay flat. I think that I'll try KeyBanner next time...

We dumped it in favor of GRIMCOs 15oz Blockout Key Banner... tired of the defects plus the Key banner prints so much better on the latex.

I’ve been printing the 13oz Forward with an L310 for about a year now and have no complaints concerning print quality using 10 pass. It’s closer to white than some other banner materials I’ve used, so colors come out nicely. Although I will agree the heat setting is crucial. A little too warm and it will get wavy, much of which goes away after it cools.
My concern with Forward is more in the durability. And let me say right off that I have had NO complaints from customers concerning durability with the Forward. Zero.

But, it feels light for a 13oz, to me, and the scrim is not as prominent as other 13oz material I’ve used. I’d be curious to know of any others experience with it concerning strength and durability.

One minor gripe, the cores are an adventure to separate from the HP spools.

I loved 313 until last week when my supplier was out, I got a couple of rolls from KAPCO and now I love them better....
