Artwork Numbering

Good morning guys.

We have a job that requires sequential numbering. Rather than manually type in the numbers (over 500) does anyone have a method that will make this quicker?

Any help appreciated.

Which program are you using?
I think Corel has an option to create sequential numbering, and I'm sure I've seen it referred to on this forum.
Sorry for not being much help.
Love....Jill

Flexi has an auto serializing function to do this.

Or are you using a different software?

Thanks for the input, much appreciated.

We use Illustrator mostly with back up when needed with Signlab.

I did some more digging and found that it can be done in excel then copy paste into illustrator.
Literally do the first two rows in one column with numbers
select both cells at once then drag down, does it perfect. My example was
PIN501
PIN502
Thru PIN599

worked a treat and very quick.

Thanks again for your input.

This sounds interesting, can you provide a little more detail to on how to do this in Illy?

Did you find a link that you could share that explained how it's done?

Thanks

wow, thanks. It make me wonder if Caldera could do variable data, and it can. This will help me with some jobs.
