Augmented Reality for doing Sign Mockups in Real Time

Hello,

I am trying to come up with innovative techniques for designing signs using AR and then allowing the customer to see it on the building as if it was really there. Not sure if there is an app for this specific task. I just think it might be an interesting sales method for on site meetings.

Thank You,

I'd tried something of the sort using a qr code 'anchor' and an iphone, with files generated in sketchup and displayed on an iphone. The problem with doing it 'real world' was the phone not recognizing the anchor at much of a distance. It did work well for a piece of paper on a conference room table, but scale was lost. I have better results just making the 3d file, and fitting it onto a street view screen shot.
Now looking at it, it appears they've done away with the anchor, and use the accelerometer + lidar to position in the ar app. Here's a video of a newer version of the same software I was using, AR sight:
This may not actually be AR sight, just a sketchup feature, I didn't actually watch the video...

You can also do this now with .usdz files and an AR viewer app. The apple headset does it as well. I guess you'd have to design/build your 3D sign file first, then open it in your AR app to view/show your customer.
