Banner material Bubbling- Mimaki JV33-160

We primarily use our printer for canvas but every once in a while use for vinyl banner.

PROBLEM: The 12 oz vinyl is bubbling and the printhead sensor is touching as it passes.

Any suggestions?

What are your heat settings?

2 things I do to make sure banner material doesnt tunnel while printing are:

roll out slack on the feed end so the material isnt getting pulled/yanked while being fed
lower pre-print heater to a very low number, near zero

Changing heat settings now to 35 preheat, 38 platen, 50 dry
