Banner material buckling on VJ 1604

I know this has been probably asked before but I cant get rid of buckling on banner material which cause head strikes!
I have now got the heaters turned down as far as they go!
HELP somone must have an answer!!!

Well, the buckling sounds like a heat issue. My first reaction would be to turn the heat down and raise the head to the high position. I always print banner material with the head in the high position.

Do you have your take-up system aligned correctly?

Are you adjusting Heat Settings from software or the Printer itself? What are all 3 Heater Settings on the Printer itself?

Well I had another look at the heat settings and hadn't realised that on the RIP software you could only knock em down to 30F!
But right next to it you can knock em off completley!
Problem Solved No Heat = No Buckling

is the vacuum on high or low?

should be on low with banner material. i had same problem and this fixed it.

Seems strange that all the RIPs i've got have banner material with first 2 heaters set to 30!
Are they trying for us to get headstrikes!!

Pre and Platen Heater as low as possible, Dryer heater turned all the way up. This will also stop ghost tracking.
