Beer Meister Help...

A buddy of mine happened upon a free beer meister. He would like to put it in his basement and have the tap in his upstairs dining room "wine closet". The mesiter itself will be mounted about 15-20 feet away from where the tap is.

Does anyone have experience with that type of setup. What is the best way to insulate the line from the keg to the tap upstairs. What is an acceptable distance to run the line?

Comments? Thoughts? Suggestions?

Thanks!

Hahaha I have no helpful info but that reminds me so much of my second husband. Someone gave him one (he was cheap and never bought anything) he rigged it up in the garage. Soon he was the most popular guy in the neighborhood on a Friday night, even though he was a total jagoff.
All his loser friends would pop in for a beer and stay stay stay.
Once there was even a biker guy with oozing sores on his face that my hub didn't even know.
He finally told the friends to hit the bricks, and began emptying the thing himself on weekends.
He was never a worker, and the beermeister made him even less inclined.
Finally I gave him the old "it or me" ultimatum, and he gave the thing to our neighbor.
Who soon became the most popular guy in the neighborhood even though he's one of those radical ex hippie types who lectures on and on about governmental conspiracies and holistic medicine.
You guessed it...his wife gave him the old "it or me" ultimatum.
And so it continued.
I bet your pal's new beermeister once belonged to my ex husband.
:)
Love.....Jill

Be very careful with this idea.. I am in the bar business,, If the beer in that line is not keep cold, it can contaminate. Tap lines in the bar business are required to be professionally cleaned on a monthly basis
