I don't know Roland Printers, but that looks like an electronic issue,
I would check and make sure all your plugs are seated well....

chirping only cyan, at around the same place... electrical for sure. But the cause? gets fun.

one, update firmware. This isn't "block printing" per se, but a firmware update fixed that a while back.

two, pop off the top cover (the biggest one) and watch the ink lines as the printer is printing. I had a vs-420 with the ink lines not quite bundled up enough, and one was bumping into a divider and causing some nozzles to fire.

three, well, anything after those... head, cables, boards.. gets iffy.

Once upon a time I had a Mutoh Falcon, lone since replaced, that did exactly that very same ting. Exactly. It turned out that one of the heads was 'weak'. This term from a posse of Mutoh mavens. The cyan head was 'incontinent' according the bevy of experts and needed replacing. I sold it as is, explaining this infirmity and the diagnosis of the coven of experts, to the fellow that bought it. He said he'd call if replacing the head didn't fix it and thereby claim a substantial rebate that I offered if this wasn't the case. Since he never called, I can only assume that the diagnosis and the recommended fix were correct.

cross contamination, usually from the cap. not necessarily broken, could just be misaligned or the drain lines contricted/blocked.

flood the cap a few times with cleaning solution, run a medium clean and see if it improves. If it looks the same, it's probably not sealing.

I'm leaning more towards an electronic issue as well. The first thing I would do is, with the machine turned off and unplugged, unplug the head cables and check them for debris and/or damage. Use air duster to plow out any dust in the terminals where the cables plugs into the head and the slider board. The re-install the cables. If there is ink, corrosion or damaged leads on the cable, replace it for sure.
