blue printing prob.

I have used every color profile possible, and still can't figure this out. Everything prints fine on my outdoor falcon. I am using flexi 8. When I print blue spot colors, it comes out purple. If I change the color values, it prints the same purple. All of my lines are open, test print prints fine. If I change my profile to no color correction, it will print blue fine, just not the blue that I need (it's too dark).

there's an option for spot colors in the production manager before the rip... might try toggling the check box

I don't have to do this with any other color, is this something that I should always expect with printing blue spot?

hard to say, just attempting some problem solving.

have you tired converted the spot color to cmyk or rgb and knocking the red/magenta a bit?

another step, probably what you should do first, print out a swatch guide, that way you know what colors you can get and find something close to the true swatch

The blue prints fine on a swatch, but in the actual print files it is always purple when I use a color profile. It is more than one file doing this, so I know it isn't just this graphic.

crazy, so if you print the spot by itself, it's perfect. when it's in the whole eps, pdf, psd, tiff, etc... only then it misprints? and all the other colors are fine?
