Mine will do that occasionally. Does yours have an alarm going off also? I just shut mine down and turn it back on and everything works fine. Tech guys at Signwarehous couldn't tell me what it was and it's not really mentioned in the maintenance manual.

I've had it happen on my 48" and fixed the same way.
I believe it has happened before when the printer carriage was obstructed. No permanent damage.

That is what I got from the manual "carriage obstruction". Couldn't find any but haven't had any problems since.
